  I have been so disappointed by my wedding dress experience and the dress I had on the day was not what I was imagining.
  Going into wedding dress shopping I was assured I could custom make the dress I wanted.
  Months later when I was due to try on my dress I had to email several times just to get a response. At this point I was told it was delayed despite the store knowing it had been delayed for months.
  Eventually when I had to pay for a flight to come get my dress as I had since moved states, it was not what I ordered.
  In front of me was an off the shelf dress that had none of my modifications and I only had four days until I was due to fly home.
  I was then told I couldn’t have the modifications we had agreed to in my contract, and I was left in tears with the sales lady storming out.
  The alterations process was a nightmare. I was talked down to, told I was making up my own body shape, and was met with hostility every step of the way by asking to have what we had agreed to in my contract.
  I then had to fly back interstate without my dress as they failed to complete the sheer amount of work required despite me asking on numerous occasions how much time they needed me there for.
  In total, my dress was over 4 months delayed and came with a week to spare until my wedding meaning I had zero time to take it to a different alterations store to try salvage my dream dress.
  My dress on the day was still a let down. The waist was uneven, sitting way too high on my back. This made me look bigger than I am and was not flattering. It also meant the over skirt I had did not sit correctly.
  The boning of the dress which I had specifically requested to be structured was flimsy and bowed in the wrong direction again looking unflattering and added size to my mid section.
  The hems of my sleeves were rough and came undone during the night.
  The finish of the dress looked unprofessional and disappointing. As someone who frequently sews herself, my dress was a patchwork of fixing mistakes and crooked lines.
  If I had of known covid would have lifted border closures during my wedding planning I would have spent the extra money to fly interstate to get a dress I was happy with.
  Poor communication, poor customer service, and a disappointing end result has broken my heart. You only get married once (hopefully) and you want to feel as good as possible. I wasn’t. I was left feeling uncomfortable and unflattered in my own wedding dress.

  I recently travelled from interstate to cairns to visit Jonovia Bridal. 3 of my friends recently got married in Palm Cove and Cairns. I highly recommend Dom and Alison. I was extremely impressed and very happy with their level of customer service. Dom was professional, and seemed to be genuinely interested to hear what I wanted for my wedding. She communicated the bridal ordering process very well so I knew what to expect in terms of timeframes.
  
  I had the most amazing experience at Jonovia, which really did stand out compared to other bridal stores. My dress was absolutely stunning, it was perfectly tailored by their recommended seamstress and the quality of the material was beautiful . I couldn’t have been any happier. Dom is a genius in the bridal industry, she is professional, knowledgeable and a very kind, genuine, lovey person. She made my wedding experience very memorable.
  
  I have since recommended her to 2 of my friends who are getting married within the next year. I wish I had have gone to Jonovia first. Thankyou Dom and Alison for everything

  Couldn't fault my experience with Jonovia, absolutely love my dress and the service received. The girls were able to order in bridesmaid and flower girl dress made to order/measure.

  Have been in three times to look at dresses before choosing the one. Each time I was greeted with hugs and smiles. The ladies were so helpful, and helped me bring my vision to life with my wedding dress. These women have a great passion for what they do, and it definitely shows. Cannot thank you enough

  Don’t shop here. These ladies have been lying and making a lot of different excuses to many customers about the progress of their wedding dresses. Months of ignoring us and a lot other brides that we know of. Not delivering quality dresses, not returning deposits. Please don’t waste your time going here. Your dream of having what you thought would be an amazing wedding gown will be ruined and you’ll be left shopping for a new dress less than a month before the wedding. If you see this review then please take the time to reply to the many many emails that these brides have been sending you.
